Description

Spirulina maxima algae 100%

The spirulina algae (Spirulina maxima) is a microscopic alga belonging to the family of the Oscillatoriacee, algae native to the equatorial zones, well localized in the lakes from the warm tropical waters in particular of the Central American and African lakes. Spirulinas have always been harvested and dried for nutritional purposes thanks to their richness in essential amino acids, vitamins (in particular of group B) and minerals, folic acid and iron (therefore precious anti-anemesis); it is generally used the multicellular alga. It can be used in various ways: taking it naturally as a supplement (half a cup of coffee equal to 1 gram) or in the kitchen. After grinding in powder, associating it with creams for sweets, ricotta, honey, in the shakes, in the salmorigli of condiment (for example added to oil EVO, parsley, garlic and salt), in cold sauces such as pesto alla genovese (oil EVO, garlic, basil), in energising drinks (combined with orange juice or bergamot, or other fruit juices). The same spirulina in twigs can be added as found in salads of vegetables, tomatoes or fruits, in fruit salads, in yogurt and milk.In the kitchen, suitably chopped, can be used in dough for bread, pizza, cakes and fresh pasta. By adding spirulina in twigs to each food we will transform it from a simple food to a superfood rich in proteins, vitamins, omega 3 and 6, precious fibers and minerals such as iron, potassium and magnesium. Spirulina percentages of 1% of the food (1 g of spirulina per 100 g of food/drink) are recommended. It doesn’t contain iodine. COMPOSITION: proteins (55 – 70%) containing all essential amino acids Vitamins: vit. B2 35 mg/Kg, vit. B6 3,3 mg/Kg, minerals: iron, phosphorus, calcium, manganese, magnesium, zinc and potassium carbohydrates 16 – 26% lipid 0.7%

SPIRULINA ALGAE AND ITS PROPERTIES

Spirulinas have a protein content of about 65%, very high therefore even if compared to some foods such as meat (15 20%) or eggs (13%). They are extremely rich in amino acids which are present in 18 different types out of 22. A particular much appreciated by athletes is the presence of amino acids used for muscle development such as leucine, isoleucine, valine. The mixture of these three types of amino acids is commonly known to the sports industry as trivalent. There are also threonine and lysine then also non-essential amino acids such as glutamic acid, aspartic acid, alanine and arginine. There are also trace elements and mineral salts, particular concentration find iron (also as feredoxin), chromium, manganese, selenium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium. Spirulina, unlike other algae, is iodine-free. The interesting content of nutrients along with vitamins, proteins, amino acids etc. make spirulina ideal in the following applications: As a supplement in convalescences, As a supplement in diets aimed at weight loss or low-calorie regimes, Supplement to the diet of sporitives. It naturally contains all the essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Rich in vitamin B12, folic acid (or even folacina, vitamin B complex) and iron, (substance useful for oxygenation of cells). The tyrosine content makes the spirulina seaweed useful when combined with slimming diets, in fact these amino acids act directly on the feeling of hunger, significantly reducing the desire for food.
