Trentino does not miss the complete holiday package. One of the most popular destinations, and the symbol of winter sports are the Dolomites: you can practice skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, rock climbing, “snowshoeing” and trekking at all levels. Among the tourist destinations of international reputation there are Madonna di Campiglio, the Val Gardena with the famous villages Selva Val Gardena, Ortisei and Santa Cristina, Val di Fassa with Canazei and Moena, the Marmolada Group, San Martino di Castrozza in which landscapes are enchanting. In summer Trentino Alto Adige offers the possibility for long walks. A magnificent example are the Stelvio National Park and the woods of Val di Fassa. There are also alternative routes as the path of Peace dedicated to the memories of the First World War. What to Taste

Trentino cuisine is simple but with strong and determined tastes based on every product that this region produce in its beautiful nature. Speck is recognized among the cold cuts in Europe, the Kaminwurz, a raw and smoked pork or venison. The most famous among the first courses are “canederli” and polenta, prepared with corn meal or buckwheat, seasoned with meat sauce, cheese or mushrooms. Among others there are the barley soup, pasta and beans, mushroom soup and especially the “brò brusà”, a simple and tasty soup. These are accompanied by main dishes such as rabbit with grappa, goulash, venison with polenta, trout seasoned with various sauces, the “lucanica”, a sausage of pork. The Dessert was ì served with great passion for apples from Val di Non with the strudel, and fruit pies. Remarkable the production of fine wines, including Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot, Chardonnay and the excellent sparkling of the area.
