In Luca Vidal’s works, color dominates over form: the imaginative combinations of murrine and watermarks, prepared by the Master following the inspiration of a continuous search for beauty, form unique textures and combinations, giving life to vibrant works that have found a place in the galleries of Italian and American art.

Coming from a family of fishermen from Burano, Luca Vidal began learning the art of glassmaking at the age of 14 working alongside Maestro Imperio Rossi. However quick, his apprenticeship continued for more than a decade, during which he learned to master the most advanced techniques of glass art, honing his natural talent.

Specialized in the production of contemporary artistic glass, Maestro Vidal is dedicated above all to the creation of vases, bowls and centerpieces with a unique and unmistakable style: the colors are elongated, defibrated to enhance their nuances, in symmetries and geometries that alternate with bright transparencies, giving shape to a living beauty that the Maestro’s sensitivity manages to further enhance with a grinding capable of making the glossy with the opaque, the smooth with the rough, the concave with the convex dialogue.

An ability that has allowed Luca Vidal to collaborate with masters such as Pino Signoretto and with internationally renowned designers.

Maestro Vidal’s compositions are not the result of chance, but of reasoned preparation: when he begins he already knows what the finished work will look like. A small margin of uncertainty is given by the improvisation used to amend defects or inaccuracies, “errors” to which we often owe the birth of even more beautiful works.
